16 Cideries from the valley and as far away as Vancouver Island will be represented at the Wards 2018 Okanagan Cider Festival to celebrate the incredible choices cider lovers now enjoy.
This is the second year for the festival. The first was held last year at BC Tree Fruits, home of Broken Ladder Cider.
This year’s event will be held on the crush pad between Wards vintage apple packinghouse and the adjoining orchard.
Enjoy:
-horse-drawn wagon rides through the orchard
-live modern blue grass music with Viper Central
-food trucks including CrAsian, Chick Chick Boom, Bare Taco (vegan) and Boneyard BBQ & Grilling
-QB Gelato floats with cider or root beer
Tickets are $28 and include five tasting tokens, wagon rides and a complimentary glass to take home. The event runs from 1-5pm.
Festival goers are able to purchase the ciders they’ve sampled thanks to a remote store location hosted by Crossings Liquor Store.
Wards is located in a 1920’s built apple packinghouse at 2287 Ward Road. It’s also home to The View Winery, and sits on a piece of property that’s been in the Ward/Turton family for a century.
