Celebrated West Coast Micro Distillery Shines at the Canadian Artisan Spirits Competition with Six Awards and Best in Class

Artisan Distillers Canada announced this week that Long Table Distillery, now celebrating its sixth year of distilling on BC’s West Coast, received seven awards including a Best in Category, five Golds and one Silver at this year’s prestigious 2nd Annual Canadian Artisan Spirit Competition (CASC).

The CASC is an exclusive opportunity for Canadian small distilleries to compete nationally amongst their fellow distillers. Head Distiller and co-owner Charles Tremewen expressed his appreciation stating “It’s an honour to be judged amongst a growing number outstanding fellow artisan distillers here in Canada. Our small and growing team at Long Table are passionate about the creation and production of premium Gins and fine spirits made here in BC. Our product is distributed here, across Canada, in the UK and more recently, Hong Kong. We’re excited aboutwhat lies ahead as we continue to grow our batch spirits portfolio.”

The competition’s National panel of independent judges completed their blind assessment of artisan spirits submitted by distillers across the country and released their finding on February 5. Now in its second year, submissions have grown by 50% over its first year.
