Yes, it’s that time of year once again. Time for you to get thinking about gift giving. We want to make it easy for you to give the perfect gift and so today we are launching our 2019 #FavouriteThings Holiday Gift Suggestions.

Meyer Family Vineyards are always tops on my list. Their portfolio of wines are excellent and I highly recommend all of their wines. But you have to act fast because many of their wines do sell out.

Here are just a few of our favourites that we personally recommend for your Holiday Gift giving.

Stevens Block Chardonnay 2018

Our family-owned “Old Main Road Vineyard” is located on a terrace on the famed and recently approved Sub-GI, Naramata Bench. One of our four acres which was planted in 2006 with French clones 4 and 5; has the steepest slope and is the coolest part of the site. As the vines have matured this section of the vineyard has developed its own unique terroir and has justified its own designation of “Stevens Block”. 

At the winery the fruit was fed directly into the press with an ensuing long gentle whole cluster pressing employed. Only the finest, purest juice from the early stages of the pressing was used for this wine with the more astringent so called “hard press” kept separate. A long, cool indigenous fermentation of two months occurred in a stainless-steel vessel, subsequently the wine was left on its fine lees for a further six months in older French oak barrels. A natural malolactic fermentation occurred. $24.45

McLean Creek Road Chardonnay 2017

We produced 530 cases of single vineyard Chardonnay from our estate vineyard on “McLean Creek Road” in Okanagan Falls. 

The wine has bright acidity with peach and herbs on the palate, great structure and a long finish. On the nose fuzzy peaches, lemon and vanilla.

Drink this wine now or cellar up to 7 to 10 years. $28.80

2018 Pinot Noir

The fruit is sourced from six different vineyards in the Okanagan Valley. The combination of these different vineyards each having their own unique aspect, elevation and soils has produced a well-rounded Pinot Noir that showcases the Okanagan as a whole. $22.71

This Pinot Noir is so affordable you will want to buy more than one.

Blanc de Blanc

Méthode Traditionnelle

Our inaugural NV Méthode Traditionnelle, Extra Brut sparkling has a fine and persistent mousse thanks to the traditional method secondary fermentation in the bottle. Clean, crisp, and fresh palate with mineral notes wrapped in flavours of orchard apples and pears, finishing with a rich and creamy texture from the extended bottle age. The wine is dry from start to finish making it the perfect aperitif wine.

This is an exceptionally delicious sparkling wine. This one will be gracing our table for Christmas Day brunch.
