Honolulu Coffee Launches New Collaboration Beer with Vancouver’s Main St. Brewing

TWO TICKETS TO POURADISE: HONOLULU COFFEE POPS THE TOP ON NEW COLLABORATION BEER WITH VANCOUVER’S MAIN ST. BREWING

Island-Inspired Lava Salted Mocha Stout Makes its Happy Hour Debut at Honolulu Coffee’s Downtown Cafe, Also Available at Local Liquor Stores

The team at Honolulu Coffee is inviting beer lovers to raise a glass and say ‘HipaHipa’ (Cheers!) to a new Lava Salted Mocha Stout beer brewed in collaboration with Vancouver’s Main St. Brewing that debuts at its downtown Vancouver cafe at 888 Nelson Street beginning this Friday, November 15.

A dark, rich and highly drinkable stout that pairs perfectly with long winter nights, the new brew gains its sweetness and malty body from the addition of Hawaiian black lava salt, which offers a complementary note to the delicious mocha flavour provided by cacao nibs and Honolulu coffee used in the brewing process.

Available daily for $8 a pint, Honolulu Coffee will tap into the first keg of the new brew this Friday during its weekly ‘Pa’u Hana’ (Happy Hour) service, offering guests free tasters of the collaboration beer and $5 pints from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., accompanied by live music and food specials like mixed bar nuts, $3.5; açaí bowls, $4.25; edamame coconut hummus, $4.75; lilikoi pineapple meatballs, $6; and teriyaki sliders, $7.5.

Beyond Honolulu Coffee, the Lava Salted Mocha Stout will also be available on tap at The Five Point Restaurant & Pub (3124 Main St.), The Charlatan (1447 Commercial Dr.), The Cascade Room (2616 Main St.) and Shark Club Sports Bar and Grill in Richmond (10331 St Edwards Dr.). Four-packs will be available for purchase at BC Liquor Stores at 28th & Main and 39th & Cambie in Vancouver and Park Royal in West Vancouver, and at such local private stores as Brewery Creek Cold Beer & Wine (3045 Main St.), Legacy Liquor Store (1633 Manitoba St.), Firefly Fine Wines & Ales (2857 Cambie St.) and Viti Wine and Lager (900 Seymour St.).
