Winemaker’s Note

Our 2019 Pinot Gris is made with fruit from our Naramata Bench estate and Hidden Terrace Vineyard in Oliver. Unoaked and aromatic, the wine was 100% stainless stell fermented to ensure the fresh fruit characters. The juice was cool fermented for 6 weeks to retain the juicy, fruit forward attributes of the wine and vibrant crispness. This vintage has aromas of pear, nectarine and Meyer lemon. The crisp and refreshing palate shows flavours of granny smith apple, key lime, honeysuckele, and peach with a flinty mineral finish. Only 428 cases made, the wine is available at our two wineries and on our e-commerce site.

Fruity and fresh best describes this pleasantly aromatic, crisp white wine. Ideal for patio sipping or for pairing with a cheese plate. I see myself enjoying this one around 4 in the afternoon and just letting the hectic pace fade away as I savour this classic Pinot Gris.

2019 Rosé

ORDER NOW

This aromatic Rosé displaying fresh strawberry, cranberry and rhubarb. The palate is dry and balanced with good acidity, but still fruit forward with some silky tannin for body and structure.

This elegant Rosé is made primarily with Cabernet Fanc from the rocky soils of Sunshine Acres in Oliver and Merlot grown on our Naramata Bench Estate. A melody of Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Petit Verdot and a touch of Syrah were added for complexity. The Merlot, Malbec and Petit Verdot were picked together and sent directly to press resulting in a fresher more fruit forward juice. They were co-fermented in stainless steel with each varietal adding its own indidual element to the bland.

Enjoy this dry and deliciously refresing wine on its own or with a grilled chicken and pear salad.

Winemaker’s note

Unoaked and versatile, our 2019 Rosé is made primarily with Cabernet Franc from the rocky soils of Sunshine Acres in Oliver and Merlot grown on our Naramata Bench Estate. Made in the elegant, Provence style, this Rosé displays fresh strawberry, cranberry and rhubarb scents. The vibrant palate is dry and balanced with good acidity, but still fruit forward with some silky tannin for body and structure. Just over 600 cases produced, the wine is avaiable at our two wineries and on our e-commerce site.

Like a taste of slightly tart fresh fruit salad with lingering flavours. Refreshingly lovely with wonderful berry aromas. Best enjoyed anytime, anywhere just be sure you order extra because you are going to love this!

Township 7 Vineyards and Winery

Langley

In 2000 – this is where it all started – in the 7th Township of Langley. While some things have changed, like signage and our new cellar style tasting room, our principles and focus have not: we are just about making quality wine and nothing else.*

Off the highway and “Metro Vancouver adjacent”, our Fraser Valley winery is set in a lush agricultural landscape, surrounded by green vistas and the occasional trot by of an equine explorer. Grape growing? Yes.

Explore your inner wine geek without leaving the Lower Mainland and get to know this gem that has bubbly ambitions.

Penticton / Naramata Bench

Our Langley winery was where it all started, but this is where it all happens! The story of our Okanagan winery might start with a tasting in our wine shop, and a friendly conversation over a few sips as you learn about our history on the Bench. It then might lead to an invitation to join clubSEVEN and access special wines not on our shop shelves, or a plan to return for an event with friends and fellow BC wine explorers.

We really are a working winery and there will be no mistaking that fact when you come and visit. Whether we are picking, crushing, pressing, bottling or just plain labeling there is always that unmistakable smell of earthy winey goodness in the air. Take a look around back and you are very likely to see our winemaker Mary McDermott at work. Go ahead ask her a question, she doesn’t bite.

Tasting notes, bottle shot and image courtesy of the winery. Notes in italics, my own, Valerie van der Gracht, Editor, MyVanCity.ca. I received one bottle of each of these wines to facilitate this feature. All opinions are my own.
