Hart House Announces New Brunch Hours and

Holiday Dinner Options

Guests feel at home at Hart House Restaurant. The Burnaby restaurant overlooking Deer Lake will offer both dine-in and take-out options for Christmas dinner on December 24th and 25th 2020. In addition, their weekend brunch hours are now 10:00am to 2:00pm.

The three-course DINE-IN Christmas dinner features a selection of appetizers including Beet & Halloumi Salad or Dungeness Crab Bruschetta, mains such as Seared Beef Tenderloin from BC’s Blue Goose Cattle Company, Roasted Sablefish “Zarzuela,” and Turkey Ballotine, and a choice of Eggnog Tiramisu or Chocolate Almond Panna Cotta. The complete menu and seating times may be viewed here.

Guests who prefer staying at home, but love Hart House’s cuisine have the option of taking home a ‘meal kit’ that feeds up to four people, pre-packaged and prepared: it only needs to be reheated before serving. The kit includes a winter green salad, Turkey Ballotine, mashed potatoes, gravy, and cranberry sauce. Chef Mike is adding a Mediterranean twist to his homemade stuffing and vegetables. A mixed berry Crumble completes the feast.

Hart House social distancing dining options are outstanding. Guests can dine on two levels: several rooms are available for private dining including a private Lakeside Cottage. All of these spaces ensure safe dining for all family members.

CHRISTMAS DINE-IN option:
$78 per person for 3 courses ($30 for each child 3 to 10 years old)
Reservations may be made online
All seating times are 2 hours from the reservation start time. This allows for thorough cleaning and sanitation between seating

CHRISTMAS TAKE-OUT option:
$168 for 4 people
Orders must be placed online by December 17th
Safe curbside pickup
Wines by the bottle are available for purchase

About Hart House Restaurant: The three-acre estate on which Hart House stands was first purchased by New Westminster businessman Frederick Hart in 1906. Frank Macey designed the Tudor Revival building. Paul Smolen and three original partners recognized that the house and grounds presented a unique opportunity to create a premier culinary destination. Hart House Restaurant opened its doors as a restaurant in September of 1988. In 2000 Paul Smolen took sole ownership of the business along with his wife Carol Smolen. The combination of lakeside setting, unrelenting drive for fine cuisine, and warm, welcoming service continues to enchant Hart House guests.
