On January 22, 2023, from 10 AM – 2 PM, join us at #AMERoundup2023 Discovery Day at the Vancouver Convention Centre East. Discovery Day is a hands-on, interactive earth science activity day for kids and families featuring gold panning, samples of rocks, minerals and fossils you can touch, mascots, virtual reality experiences, and geologists and engineers on-site to answer all your questions.
Activities include:
‘Stump the Geologist’ and other hands-on games with geologists and engineers
Experience ancient fossils, spectacular minerals and billion-year-old rocks
Make the earth shake and measure it on a seismometer
Experience Britannia MineVR technology displays
Pan for gold with Yukon Dan
Free face painting, balloon bending, and popcorn and cotton candy!
Returning in 2023 after a two-year hiatus is Discovery Day, AME’s free, family-focused event held on Sunday, January 22, at the Vancouver Convention Centre East. AME invites all members of the public to experience mineral exploration and mining with displays, exhibitors and experiences in a fun, hands-on, interactive environment.
Hosted by explorers for explorers, AME’s annual Roundup conference is the mineral exploration industry’s premier opportunity to connect, exchange ideas and inspire new exploration projects: Projects that are critical to a strong economic recovery, supplying materials for a climate-smart future, and sustaining vibrant regional communities for generations to come.
