Amanda Mailman officially opens Vancouver Island’s Newest Destination Hotel, Naturally Pacific Resort

Owner Amanda Mailman officially opens Vancouver Island’s Newest
Destination Hotel, Naturally Pacific Resort

On Saturday May 11, resort owner Amanda Mailman cut the ribbon officially opening Naturally Pacific Resort, surrounded by family, friends and the local Campbell River community.

The property’s signature warm hospitality was evident throughout the resort with a tasting station at Carve Kitchen’s Harvest Table from Chef Ryan Watson, sips from Shelter Point Distillery, Poplar Grove Winery and Sheringham Distillery, and uplifting sounds from DJ Leanne. At Immersion Spa & Wellness, guests were treated to complimentary hand massages and samples from in-house spa line Kerstin Florian.

“Together with General Manager Justin Stevens and his team, we couldn’t be more excited to unveil Naturally Pacific Resort,” said Mailman. “Paying homage to my family’s deep Campbell River roots, we are proud to share what we hope will become an iconic Vancouver Island destination resort with our community, and warmly welcome travellers from across the world to enjoy the natural beauty on our doorstep.”

Welcoming those seeking an escape, Naturally Pacific Resort redefines adventure with genuine service and casual elegance, paired with a wealth of experiences on its doorstep. Guests have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the natural beauty of the area while enjoying the resort’s exceptional facilities, including Carve Kitchen & Meatery, Immersion Spa & Wellness and an indoor pool with floor-to-ceiling windows. Outdoor fire pits with plush seating areas, a sun-drenched pool deck and hot tub complete the resort, all surrounded by the emerald fairways of Campbell River Golf Club.

Signature restaurant, Carve Kitchen & Meatery, presents a modern interpretation of a classic North American steakhouse. Led by Executive Chef Ryan Watson, the menu is inspired by Vancouver Island farms and fields, supporting local producers wherever possible. Together with talented on-site horticulturalists, the kitchen team is helping to grow a 10,000 square foot garden, located on the resort, with the goal to produce vegetables and herbs to enhance dishes, along with a small apiary, producing honey for cocktails and dressings. The restaurant’s interior design reflects the natural beauty of its surroundings. Interiors feature floating lighting installations and curved, natural shapes throughout, drawing the outdoors in. A sweeping horseshoe-shaped marble bar makes the perfect spot for a cocktail or casual dinner; cozy booths with banquette seating offer a more intimate setting; and a locally hand-carved harvest table harvest table on the restaurant’s patio, perfect for group celebrations and gatherings.

Immersion Spa & Wellness, located off the hotel’s lobby, offers guests the opportunity to unwind in a custom mineral pool and refresh in Italian-made water therapy showers. The spa provides a range of treatments, from pampering pedicures to Signature Treatment Rituals that blend ancient techniques and aromatic blends to restore balance to mind, body and energy systems.

Located on resort, Campbell River Golf Club is one of Vancouver Island’s oldest and most renowned golf courses. The 18-hole, par-71 resort-style course was rebuilt from tee to green, with the addition of Velocity Lounge & Driving Range an immersive virtual golf experience that uses cutting-edge technology from Toptracer – the first in Western Canada to do so – appealing to both beginners and seasoned golfers alike.

Designed in collaboration with Vancouver-based CHIL Interior Design, Naturally Pacific Resort has 100 guest rooms and suites, with interiors radiating tranquility and sophistication, drawing inspiration from the natural contours of the surrounding forests, shorelines and the elegant topographical lines of the golf course.

Nestled between the picturesque shores of the Salish Sea and the foothills of Strathcona Provincial Park, Campbell River is a destination known for its natural beauty and wide range of activities year round. From authentic experiences with Indigenous-owned Homalco Wildlife & Cultural Tours; to whale watching on the Salish Sea with Campbell River Whale Watching; strolling the endless golden sands of Saratoga Beach; or savouring the community’s delicious, artisan culinary offerings like Freyja: A Croissant Story and Shelter Point Distillery, Campbell River has something for everyone.
