Make it a Dockside Thanksgiving

Waterside dining and West Coast cuisine make the Granville Island Hotel’s Dockside Restaurant
the place to be this Thanksgiving

Autumn might bring to mind fallen leaves and shorter, greyer days, but you can vibrantly colour this Thanksgiving with one stroke of culinary genius. Find fresh waterfront views, delicious West Coast cuisine, and warm hospitality at Dockside Restaurant.

Nestled waterside on Vancouver’s False Creek, within the Granville Island Hotel, Dockside might just be the best-kept dining “secret” of Vancouver. It has been delighting locals, visitors to Granville Island, and generations of families with its cozy atmosphere and friendly service since 2001. Sunny drinks on the spacious patio, or dining in the bright, open-concept dining room, are an essential Vancouver experience.

This Thanksgiving, Executive Chef Josef Driemel brings finesse to local products and seasonal flavours on a holiday menu overflowing with iconic dishes. “Thanksgiving is more than just a meal — it’s a celebration of family, tradition, and gratitude,” says Driemel. “As a chef, I love that every dish tells a story, with a fresh twist that makes it uniquely ours each year.”

Offered for dinner service from 5pm onward on Sunday, October 13 and Monday, October 14, the following complete Thanksgiving menu is available for $55 per person, with the option to instead order individually priced à la carte items.

The holiday extravaganza meal includes:

·       Butternut Squash Soup ($14 à la carte), seasoned with brown butter, winter spices and topped with crushed hazelnuts and chili oil, is served with herb-oil focaccia bread.
OR
·       Warm Beet Salad ($14 à la carte), with sundried tomato cashew cream, dressed spaghetti squash, and oven-roasted beets, on fresh greens in cranberry vinaigrette.
·       Turkey Main-course Plate ($40 à la carte), classically prepared local turkey with both white and dark meat, savoury thyme stuffing, garlic mashed potatoes, roasted root vegetables, fried Brussels sprouts, citrus-cranberry sauce and house-made gravy.
·       Dessert ($12 à la carte), Pumpkin Pie Cheesecake with candied walnuts and whisky caramel or Coconut Pumpkin Pie (dairy-free) with berry compote.
