FOR THE GREATEST BOY BAND THAT NEVER WAS

Due to incredible audience interest, The Comedy Department announces a B.C. tour of Middle-Aged Boy Band. This hilarious music parody and comedy show features some of Canada’s best improv comedians as the Greatest Boy Band That Never Was. After packed houses in Port Moody, Chilliwack and Langley, the band is getting back together for a much-anticipated five-city reunion tour, called “Halfway There.”

Denise Jones, co-founder of The Comedy Department, said, “I can’t wait to bring this show into 2025 and continue to play for new audiences who are connecting with Middle-Aged Boy Band. The vibe at shows in 2024 was something we didn’t really plan for. Fans are able to take themselves back to that time of boy band magic. People were dancing in the aisles and singing along. It was so great. ”

Middle-Aged Boy Band is an uproariously funny comedy show that takes a hilarious swipe at the iconic boy bands of yesteryear—think *NSYNC, New Kids on the Block, and One Direction! It’s Whose Line is it Anyways meets the Backstreet Boys.

Fellow co-founder, David Milchard says, “These guys had the dream of being a famous boy band, but then life got in the way (kids, mortgages, hernias) and now they’re back, older but still pursuing their dreams!”

Adds Milchard, “They’re here to prove it’s never too late. They’ll make you laugh out loud, that’s guaranteed. But they’ll also dust off some dance moves or bust out on-the-spot love ballads that you won’t be able to get out of your head. It’s going to be such an awesome tour. And we love performing in these cities outside Vancouver. We’re so appreciative of the positive response we get.”
