Terrace Restaurant at Mission Hill Family Estate – Reopening May 9

MISSION HILL FAMILY ESTATE WELCOMES SEASONAL RETURN OF
THE TERRACE RESTAURANT, MAY 9

New seasonal menu highlights bounty of the region and estate-grown botanicals,
debuts new line of chef-crafted Farmstead provisions

Mission Hill Family Estate welcomes the seasonal re-opening of the award-winning Terrace Restaurant on Friday, May 9, offering guests an extraordinary alfresco dining experience set against panoramic vineyard and lake views. Renowned as the Okanagan Valley’s premier open-air culinary destination, The Terrace continues to elevate the region’s celebrated food and wine scene, rooted in a commitment to sustainability, seasonality, and craftsmanship.

Under the culinary direction of Executive Chef, Patrick Gayler, this year’s reopening introduces several updates that deepen the culinary ethos—from newly planted estate-grown ingredients and an enhanced in-house charcuterie program to a brand-new line of gourmet provisions, Farmstead by Mission Hill Family Estate.

“Our menu highlights the vibrancy of the valley and we’re drawing from what’s flourishing around us,” says Executive Chef Patrick Gayler. “Sourcing from local farmers is a real partnership that helps both the farms and our kitchen thrive, and I look forward to showcasing the very best of the Okanagan to our guests.”

The Terrace continues to spotlight ingredients harvested just steps from the kitchen. The estate’s expanded botanical program now features an abundant rotation of edible flowers and culinary herbs—including chamomile, wild rose, pineapple weed, sweet cicely, and lemon verbena—infusing the menu with a true taste of place. The enhanced in-house charcuterie program features a menu of house-cured specialties like ash-coated speck, cappicolo, guanciale, and double-smoked bacon—some seasoned with foraged Douglas Fir tips. Each dish is crafted to complement Mission Hill’s award-winning wines and reflect the estate’s commitment to seasonal cooking, setting the standard for estate-to-table dining in the Okanagan Valley.

The newly introduced Farmstead line will feature small-batch provisions such as Estate Golden Honey, Pink Lady Apple Chutney and Okanagan Quince Vinegar, sourced from the estate and long-standing Okanagan farming partners, and made onsite in the estate kitchen. Each jar is rooted in family tradition and captures the vibrant flavours of locally grown ingredients. Farmstead is now available for purchase at the winery’s Retail Boutique.
