L’Abattoir is turning 15! Since July 17th, 2010, we’ve been offering our guests our distinct French influenced, West Coast menu and incredible hospitality from the heart of historic Gastown. To celebrate this milestone, we’re bringing back some guest-favourites on our menu along with nostalgic cocktails and celebratory wine. From a few of our original dishes to Golden Tickets, this month’s celebrations are a tribute to the guests and team who continue to make it all possible. Whether it’s been a while or you were just here last night, we look forward to welcoming you back and raising a glass with you this July!
GOLDEN TICKETS
To celebrate our 15th anniversary, we’re adding a touch of sparkle to your evening. From July 1st to 17th, one lucky guest each night will find a Golden Ticket tucked inside their dinner menu. 2010 MENU
Starting on Friday, July 4th, we’ll be revisiting standout dishes from our early years, like the beloved bread basket, baked Pacific oysters, veal sweetbreads, and our famous Steak Diane. This menu honours the many culinary talents who’ve shaped our culinary program over the past 15 years. Under Executive Chef Jasper Cruickshank’s thoughtful leadership, the menu blends some of these guest favourites alongside his elevated seasonal offerings.

We’re bringing back some of our original cocktails on Friday, July 4th through the end of the month with classics like the Avocado Gimlet, the Gastown Swizzle and the Meat Hook. We’re incredibly proud of the bartenders and bar managers who’ve shaped our bar program over the years, many of whom have gone on to lead exceptional programs nationwide and beyond. Looking ahead, Bar Manager Alexa Gervais continues that legacy with creativity, intention and a vision for what’s next behind the bar.
VINTAGE
Andrew Forsyth, our Head Sommelier and his team are bringing in a few rare bottles of 2010 Syrah Équinoxe from our good friends at Le Vieux Pin. This wine list offering is a nod to the year L’Abattoir first opened its doors and the beginning of our now-celebrated wine program. With a Platinum from the Vancouver International Wine List Awards since 2018 and the Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator, the program continues to be a key part of our story. Join us on Thursday, July 17th for a celebratory glass of bubbles on arrival and raise a glass to our milestone!
