First Anniversary Celebration

Bow & Stern Brentwood is marking its first anniversary as an anchor at The Amazing Brentwood (#2626–4567 Lougheed Highway) with a week-long celebration of food, drinks, and live entertainment. The festivities kick off Saturday, November 1, with a Champagne Brunch Celebration featuring $15 Happy Hour Brunch items like Bacon Benny, Salmon Cake Benny, Pancakes, and Avocado Toast, accompanied by live music, a DJ, and complimentary bubbly from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Seafood lovers can enjoy $2 Buck-a-Shuck East and West Coast Oysters daily from November 1–7, served with freshly shaved horseradish, mignonette, and lemon. Guests can also take advantage of 25% off any bottle of bubbly (excluding Dom Perignon) with the purchase of a signature ‘For the Table’ feature, including the Hot Seafood Platter or Chilled Seafood Tower.

Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts

Celebrating Jacques Pépin – 90 Years
Wednesday, November 26 | 6:00 – 9:00PM

Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts will host a special pop-up dinner led by Chef Ben and his culinary students, with desserts prepared by the advanced pastry students. The evening pays tribute to legendary chef Jacques Pépin, who recently celebrated his 90th birthday. Widely regarded as a master chef and national treasure, Pépin’s influence on generations of cooks continues to shape the culinary world.

Inspired by his most celebrated dishes, the menu will feature Gougères with black truffle mornay, Salade Tiède de Canard et Lentilles Vertes du Puy, Soupe de Poisson with fennel and saffron, and Daube de Bœuf à la Provençale served with brown butter celeriac purée. To finish, guests will enjoy Crêpes Suzette à l’Ancienne and Mignardises, a sweet finale to a night of French tradition and culinary artistry.

La Fête du Brunch
Sunday November 16th 10:30am to 1pm

On Sunday, November 16 from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Lorette Brasserie will host La Fête du Brunch, a festive brunch experience featuring family-style starters and a selection of refined entrées. Guests can choose from three Eggs Benedicts, Croque Madame, Brioche French Toast, and other elevated brunch dishes, accompanied by signature cocktails, sparkling wine, and seasonal drinks designed to keep the celebration flowing.

Tickets are $90 per person plus tax and gratuity. The menu highlights include Creton with brioche and pear chutney, Whipped Ricotta with Lillooet honey, Smoked Albacore Tuna with citrus gribiche, Classic Benedict, Salmon Rillettes Benedict, Beef Cheek Benedict, Fried Chicken & Waffles, and Apple Pie Waffle, among others.

Italian Kitchen Pasta Making Experiences
Saturdays, November 8 & 15 | 2:00 – 5:00 PM

Glowbal Restaurant Group’s Italian Kitchen invites guests to celebrate the joy of handmade pasta with an immersive, hands-on experience at their downtown Vancouver location. On Saturday, November 8 and Saturday, November 15, from 2 to 5 p.m., participants will learn the art of authentic Italian pasta in the restaurant’s elegant La Serra Room before enjoying a private dining experience.

Designed for groups of six, the experiences are offered in two formats, the Basic Experience ($165 per person) and the Corporate Experience ($199 per person) each including a glass of Mionetto Prosecco or a non-alcoholic cocktail, a choice of red or white wine with dinner, an Italian Kitchen–branded apron, and a pasta cutter wheel to take home.

Guests will spend up to two hours mastering pasta classics such as potato gnocchi, ravioli du dauphine, and fettuccine or spaghetti, followed by an exclusive dinner featuring a Pasta Tower showcasing their creations with pesto, pomodoro, and cacio e pepe sauces. Combining education, creativity, and indulgence, this culinary experience offers a delicious way to connect with the traditions of Italian cuisine.

Desi Indian Lounge
Autumn Tasting Menu
Tuesdays to Saturdays 6pm to close

Executive Chef Bal Ajagaonkar of Desi Indian Lounge recently launched a new Five-Course Tasting Menu inspired by the flavours and recipes of his hometown in Western India. Located in the heart of downtown Vancouver at 1355 Hornby Street, Desi offers guests a refined take on contemporary Indian dining.

Available Tuesdays through Saturdays from 6 p.m. to close, with 24-hour advance reservations, the menu highlights Chef Ajagaonkar’s balance of tradition and technique through dishes such as Tandoori Squash Soup, Sago Cassava Tikki, and main-course options including Malabar Salmon or Paneer & Quinoa Pilaf, and Kolhapuri Lamb Bhareli Vangi or Mushroom Bhareli Vangi. Dessert features a duo of Ukadiche Modak & Cranberry Pudding. The tasting menu is priced at $45 per person plus tax and gratuity, with optional wine pairings for $25 per person.

Originally from Malvan, Chef Ajagaonkar has trained with Michelin-starred chefs and worked in luxury hotels and restaurants around the world. His latest menu reflects both his culinary roots and his global perspective, brought together in five thoughtfully composed courses.

House of Dawn is serving up a brand new brunch menu, available Wednesdays through Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.. Guests can enjoy classics like Eggs Benedict, Crispy Chicken & Waffles, and French Toast, alongside handhelds such as the Dry Aged Breakfast Burger, Brisket Cheese Melt, Lobster Roll, and Kobe Striploin Sandwich.

House-made pastas, seasonal toasts, and a selection of espresso drinks, teas, house sodas, juices, and Valrhona hot chocolate round out a brunch experience that blends classic flavours with contemporary flair.

Priced at $120 per person, Jazz Night at Dahlia promises a sophisticated and memorable evening out in Vancouver.

Claudio’s
Happy Hour Cibo & Bevande

Claudio’s introduces a new Happy Hour featuring a curated Cibo menu with shareable bites and small plates, including Beef Ragu Arancini ($5), Gnoccho Fritto ($6), Truffle Potato Chips ($7), Garlic Parmesan Bites ($8), and an Antipasto Board for Two ($14). Guests can also enjoy pizzas like Margherita ($17) and Claudio’s Diavola ($19), along with Paccheri Pomodoro Burrata ($18) and Chitarra Carbonara ($21).

New Happy Hour

 

B House, led by Chef and Owner Hung Nguyen, is launching a Happy Hour from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., featuring an inventive selection of small plates and drinks. Guests can enjoy Deep-Fried Spring Rolls ($8.99), Tuna Cups ($6), Chicken Wings ($13.99) with your choice of “B Simple,” “B Hot,” or “B Garlic Soy,” Seafood Croquettes ($6), and a variety of tacos including Korean Chicken, Tofu, and Cajun Buttermilk Shrimps ($6–$7 each).

The drink menu includes $5 Beer on Tap (Lager, Pale Ale, IPA), $5 Bottles (Corona, Heineken, Strongbow), $5 House Red/White Wine, and $5 Single Hi-Balls with selected vodka, gin, rum, or whiskey. Guests also receive 10% off regular menu items during Happy Hour.
