ADDS NEW DISHES TO ITS WEEKEND BRUNCH MENU

New Mexican-Inspired Sides, Appetizers, Entrées and
Desserts Make Their Debut on One of Michelin Guide’s
‘Best Brunch’ Menus in Vancouver

Ophelía Executive Chef and Co-Owner Francisco Higareda is giving guests a good reason to include the Michelin-Recommended hotspot on their weekend plans by adding delicious new dishes to the Weekend Brunch menu at the Olympic Village restaurant located at 165 W 2nd Ave.

Available from noon to 3 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday, Ophelia’s Brunch menu includes an array of Appetizers (Sopa de Tortilla, Aguachile Blanco, Volcanes de Arrecherra), sweet and savoury Entrées (Chilaquiles Rojos o Verdes, Enchiladas Gratinadas, Tres Leches French Toast) as well as an array of Tacos, Sides and Desserts (Churros, Tres Leches Cake, Chocoflan).

At the bar, guests can also imbibe via a list of espresso-based beverages like Latte de Olla (espresso, house spice mix, vanilla, whole milk), cocktails such as Lo Que Sera Sera (El Gobernador pisco, mango, mint, lime, soda), Cantarito (Cuervo tradicional, orange, lime, grapefruit, soda), Ophelia Michelada (Ophelia cerveza, tamarind, Petroleo, lime, Clamato, prawns, tamarind candy) and the Classico Carajillo (Licor 43, fresh espresso) as well as a selection of local and import cervezasvino and espresso-based beverages.

Ophelia’s Brunch service was recently lauded as one of the best in the city by the Michelin Guide, which singled out Higareda’s menu by writing:

Chef/Co-Owner Francisco Higareda prepares traditional pan-regional Mexican fare just as his mother, Opehlia, did. A trio of tacos rewards diners with delectable ingredients piled high atop locally made tortillas. At brunch, expect additions like chilaquiles and eggs divorciados and motuleños. End things with that ultimate classic — tres leches cake.
