Bottleneck Drive Launches “Bottleneck in Bloom” Spring Event for May Long Weekend

Details Announced for the Inaugural Bottleneck in Bloom

New spring event celebrates the Okanagan Valley
in bloom over May long weekend

Summerland’s Bottleneck Drive has announced details for the inaugural Bottleneck in Bloom, a new spring signature event taking place May 16 to 18, 2026, throughout the Bottleneck Drive touring route.

Timed to the May long weekend, Bottleneck in Bloom marks the official return of the touring season as the Okanagan Valley comes to life for spring. Attendees are invited to experience Summerland at its most vibrant, with orchards and vineyards in bloom and tasting rooms welcoming visitors for a weekend of discovery, flavour, and connection.

Inspired by Summerland’s deep agricultural roots, Bottleneck in Bloom celebrates the close relationship between local growers, vineyards, orchards, cideries, breweries, and distilleries. Throughout the weekend, Bottleneck Drive members will host a range of bloom‑inspired experiences, highlighting new releases and seasonal activations designed to reflect the energy and beauty of spring.

Visitors can enjoy a variety of immersive, spring‑forward experiences, including:

  • Partnerships with local florists and growers
  • Floral and horticultural demonstrations
  • Seedlings and floral arrangements available for purchase
  • Floral‑inspired photo moments throughout the route

Visitors are encouraged to explore multiple stops along the Bottleneck Drive and pick up a Bottleneck in Bloom Passport. By collecting five stamps from participating locations, visitors will be entered to win a grand prize package valued at more than $1,500.

“This event is about celebrating what makes Summerland special in spring,” said Bottleneck Drive board chair Jordan Kubek. “From the blossoms in the orchards, to what is happening in our tasting rooms, Bottleneck in Bloom captures a moment when everything comes to life at once.”
