n Burnaby and East Vancouver’s Sopra Sotto and Loula’s Taverna This June

Ionian Hospitality Group hotspots Claudio’s Ristorante in Burnaby, Sopra Sotto in East Vancouver and Loula’s Taverna on Commercial Drive are getting set to welcome the soccer world for the big games this summer by featuring daily specials and live broadcasts starting this June 11th.

Sopra Sotto soccer specials include sleeves of Sopra Lager for $5 each, Casamigos Margaritas for $12 and buckets of six Ionian Pilsners for $30 as well as Diavola and Margherita Pizzas and Cacio e Pepe Pasta for $20 each. The Burnaby location of Sopra Sotto will also show select games with food and drink features.

At Loula’s, soccer fans can feed their hunger and quench their thirst thanks to a Carlsberg Feature Menu that includes 9oz and 14oz Carlsbergs for $5 and $8, respectively, Pitchers of Carlsberg for $25, a Gyro and 14oz Carlsbergcombo for $20, shots of Ouzo for $5 and Greek Wings for $18.

On game days, Loula’s will also offer an exclusive Happy Hour menu that showcases drink features such as: shots of Ouzo, 1oz Highballs or Loula’s Lagers for $5 ea.; Draught Beer, 6oz glasses of Red, White or Rosé or Suntails for $8 ea.; Limocello or Aperitivo Luxardo Spritzes, Watermelon Margaritas or Loula’s Slushies for $10 ea.. The Happy Hour game day food menu comprises Mediterranean Dips & Pita (Tzatziki, Smoked Eggplant, Spicy Feta, Hummus or Tarama), Olives and Feta, Greek Salad or Loula’s Fries for $9 ea.; Kalamari, Lamb Sliders (2), Spanakopita (2) or Chicken or Vegetables & Halloumi Souvlaki for $12 ea.; and Loula’s Gyro (Chicken or Veggie), Paidakia (2), Beef or Prawn Souvlaki or Greek Nachos (add ground lamb +$7) for $15 ea.

Highlights of the tournament include the Canada Group Games as well as Vancouver-Based Games and include the Canada Group Game featuring Canada vs. Bosnia at noon on Fri., June 12th; Canada Group Game pitting Qatar against Switzerland at noon and Vancouver Game with Australia taking on Turkey at 9 p.m. on Sat., June 13th; Canada Group Game featuring Switzerland vs. Bosnia at noon and Canada Group Game in Vancouver with Canada taking on Qatar at 3 p.m. on Thurs., June 18th; Vancouver game with New Zealand playing Egypt at 6 p.m. on Sun., June 21st; Canada Group Game showcasing Canada vs. Switzerland at noon on Weds., June 24th and Vancouver Game pitting Belgium against New Zealand on Fri., June 26th at 8 p.m.
