CULINARY FOCUSED POP-UP DINNER ON SEPTEMBER 3RD
New Chef-Led, Student-Executed Event Showcases the Very Best of
Pacific Northwest Farms, Fields and Fisheries Across Four Courses
Prime Pacific Northwest farmers, foragers and fishers step into the culinary spotlight for one special night when the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts (PICAChef) hosts A Taste of Canada Pop-Up Dinner on Thursday, Sept. 3rd at the Granville Island-adjacent campus (1515 West 2nd Ave.).
The four-course, chef-led and student-executed event celebrates and showcases the regional flavours and homegrown ingredients of BC and beyond in dishes that include Bannock with cultured local honey butter, Duck Confit Croquettes with pickled BC blackberries, BC Mussels with smoked bacon and cider, Montreal-Smoked BC Bison, Pan-Seared Pacific Lingcod with sweet corn velouté, and more.
A limited number of tickets for the pop-up are available for $89 per person plus tax and gratuity here.

Parents and loved ones have one more chance to help budding chefs develop their skills during PICA’s final week-long Summer Cooking Camp taking place Mon., Aug. 31st to Fri., Sept. 4th. Full of food, fun and teamwork, these classes let participants dive into hands-on cooking and baking camps with professional chef-instructors and learn all-new recipes to recreate at home for friends and family.
Each day brings something new, from knife skills and a Mexican fiesta to pasta-making, baking day and a tour of global flavours in small, interactive classes designed to build real kitchen confidence and practical skills and include a PICAChef branded apron to use in class and take home after the sessions.
