Glowbal Restaurant Group is proud to support our Culinary Director Chef James Olberg and the Canadian team at Bocuse d’Or 2017 in Lyon, France – happening January 24 and 25.
Nowhere else in the world of culinary arts will you find such a concentration of talent, competitive rivalry and exquisite cookery than at Bocuse d’Or. This is the most prestigious culinary competition in the world, a showcase for the talents of chefs who represent twenty four countries in an intense highly charged and extremely raucous atmosphere. The competition takes place over two days in conjunction with Sirha – international hotel catering and food trade exhibition and attracts over 160,000 visitors from around the world.
About James Olberg:
A highly regarded and accomplished Chef, Olberg’s culinary talent brings years of experience to the table. Active in the Canadian culinary federation (CCFCC), Olberg’s knowledge and creativity have earned him multiple medals from various culinary competitions and has earned his marks to compete in this prestigious competition.
About Frank Lu:
Supporting team member, Chef Frank Lu, also of Glowbal Restaurant Group will be assisting Chef Olberg in Lyon France. His passion and commitment will prove to be a great asset for the team.
