Wines of South Africa: Creating the Blend

The South African wine industry has come a long way since 1994, with inclusivity, upliftment and growth at the forefront. While there is still much to be done, we recognize the many entities that consistently aid the well-being and positive growth of the 291,000 people employed within our industry.

Wines of South Africa are proud to share the short documentary, ‘Creating the Blend’, which showcases a few of the phenomenal programmes and efforts that are active today. Programmes that enrich and add value to a range of levels to wine industry workers, including land ownership, education, health care, training, and business opportunities.

We would like to extend our thanks to all participating interviewees and are excited to share the beauty of the South African wine industry and its people with the world.

About Wines of South Africa: Wines of South Africa (WOSA) is a fully inclusive body, representing all South African producers of wine who export their products. WOSA, which was established in its current form in 1999, has over 500 exporters on its database, comprising all the major South African wine exporters. South Africa’s winemaking history stretches back to the 1600s.  In recent years, however, the country has combined longstanding traditions with cutting-edge technology and a commitment to environmental stewardship. http://www.wosa.co.za/
