Dine Out Vancouver inspires warm welcome, inventive menus at The Union and The Cascade Room

 

Enticing three-course Dine Out menus at each restaurant cost $30, January 19 -February 4

 

Local food and fun aficionados know that Cascade Company restaurants, The Cascade Room and The Union, are always worth a visit, and that’s even more true during Dine Out Vancouver. This year, from January 19-February 4, both of these inviting destinations will lure in Dine Out Vancouver enthusiasts with intriguing three-course menus loaded with delicious options. Guests may enhance their dining experience with add-ons, including wine pairings, available at an additional cost.

The Cascade Room’s Dine Out menu features hearty, satisfying fare, including roasted apple and parsnip soup, goat cheese salad, smoked bacon sausage, Alberta venison burger, chickpea tikka masala, and a honey mustard pork chop. Two options are offered for both the starter and main – along with an extra “enhance” dish (available for an additional cost) for all three courses. Diners can finish their Dine Out meal on a sweet note with a double chocolate brownie, or choose to add-on the artisanal cheese plate.

The Union makes its Dine Out Vancouver debut with a three-course menu inspired by the flavours of Southeast Asia, with vegan and gluten-free options available as well. To kick off the meal, try the Manju Masala feature cocktail ($12) — a tasty blend of chai bourbon with spiced coconut milk. First course dishes include Sweet and Sour Soup or Som Tum (green papaya) Salad. Main options include a Roghan Josh Lamb Curry, Malaysian seafood curry, and an Indian Thali with vegetables, rice and naan. For dessert, indulge in a slice of flourless chocolate cake served with coconut gelato, or cap the meal with a Ho Chi Minh Coffee – Vietnamese coffee with cardamom cachaça (a sugarcane spirit), vanilla syrup and sweetened condensed milk.
