The Steveston Farmers & Artisans Market is gearing up for a sixth year starting on Sunday, May 4th, 2014, and will operate from 10:00am to 4:00pm the first and third Sundays each month through September.
“We’ve got a great mix of vendors lined up for this year’s summer season including several new vendors along with returning customer favourites,” says market manager Henry Pietraszek. “This is the perfect place to meet with your neighbours and to really get to know the people who grow the food we eat.”
The popular Steveston village attraction will continue to offer an array of carefully selected vendors selling fresh produce, baked goods and tasty treats, and unique handicrafts including jewellery, skin care products, clothing and more. Opening day also includes children’s activities and entertainment.
Market vendors come from as close as Steveston and travel from as far as the Fraser Valley,
Okanagan, and Sunshine Coast. The market will feature fresh farmed produce that will become more varied and plentiful as fields and orchards ripen over the summer, and food producers including natural and organic cheeses, meat and poultry products.
Sit at a picnic table and listen to great tunes or enjoy a leisurely walk around the market and get
to know the vendors in your community market. There is something special for everyone at the Steveston Farmers & Artisans Market.
