L’Epicerie Gourmande Launches Gourmet to Go
Chef David Izquierdo, owner of L’Epicerie Gourmande Canada, is pleased to launch the newest division of the company – Gourmet to Go by L’Epicerie Gourmande. Gourmet to Go is just what the name implies – lunches, heat and serve meals and frozen dishes delivered to your place of work or to your home.
Hailing originally from Marseille, France, Chef David had a similar business there where he specialized in meal delivery to busy offices for lunches, group meetings and seminars. Gourmet to Go features Chef David’s signature French classic dishes that have already proven popular with customers at his Granville Island Market location L’Epicerie Gourmande.
“The Lunch Box combos are simple fare – sandwiches paired with daily soups or salads, or my heat and serve entrees, like a pot pie or quiche, that can also come with soup or salad. You get the finest quality ingredients prepared by a French chef, delivered right to your door.” Delivery charges vary with the amount ordered and the delivery destination. The process is simple – go to L’Epicerie Gourmande’s website, click on the link for Gourmet to Go , choose Lunch Box and peruse the menu. You can either phone-in or fax your order for delivery the following day. Chef David or his staff will call you to confirm the details and check if there are any special dietary or delivery requirements. “I like to personally speak to each customer, to build a rapport is important,” he says. Gourmet to Go also offers prepared Frozen Meals for delivery to your office or home. Stock up your freezer and pull one out when you don’t have time to cook. You can get almost any French dish including classic entrees like Daube de Boeuf, Duck Leg à l’Orange or Braised Lamb Shanks. The menu also offers full selections of Appetizers, Quiches, Tarts(sweet & savoury, including Tortiere) Vegetable Dishes and Dessertsalong with Pastries. Just thaw and heat as per the instructions on the package – no need for last minute panic on what to serve for dinner. Put it in your own dishes and no one will ever know you didn’t make it yourself.
Similar to CSA delivery, you place your order and Gourmet to Go will deliver the next day. There’s no minimum required but it makes sense to order a few Frozen Meals at a time so that they are always on hand when you need them.
