The Vancouver Foodster 2nd Sangria Challenge was a huge success featuring 7 sangria creations from restaurants around Vancouver. Each restaurant featured their sangria creation from September 1-25, 2016. Our media judging panel determined the ultimate winners of the challenge, and this was quite the task as each judge who tasted each creation with a rigorous process based on taste, originality/uniqueness and presentation/appearance.
This time the results are the same in the Media Judges category as well as the People’s Choice category in this challenge.
Our Media judges for this challenge were: Sonia Beeksma, David Peng and Zahra Alani.

Description: Refreshing White Sangria with layers of Watermelon Sorbet and Honeydew Sorbet with Asian Melon Balls and Fresh Slices of Peach and Kiwi. Also includes White Cranberry Juice and Coconut Juice with Honey and Lemon Aromatics and Infused Basil. All touched up with a shot of Butterfly Pea Flower Liquid and Garnished with Twisted Lemon and Bai Bua Bok (Gotu Kola) Leaves (from the legendary Fountain of Life).
Ingredients: Wild Goose Pinot Gris, White Cranberry Juice, Coconut Juice, Grand Mariner, Lillet Vermouth, Fresh Peach, Fresh Kiwi, Asian Melon Balls (frozen), Watermelon Sorbet, Honeydew Sorbet, Basil Infused Simple Syrup, Butterfly Pea Flower Colouring (layered on top), and Honey Lemon Twist with Bai Bua Bok (Gotu Kola) Leaf Garnish.
