One-Night-Only Wine Dinner Features Four-Course Italian Meal Paired With Select Wines Hailing from the Chianti Region of Tuscany
The famed wines of Tuscany take centre stage on the longest day of the year when General Manager and Wine Director Mark Taylor plays host to a four-course Chianti Dinner at Cibo Trattoria on Wednesday, June 21 at 6:30 p.m.
The event will pair a rustic four-course Italian-inspired feast from Chef Josh Gonneau with an array of Chianti and an overview of the region and its wines courtesy of Taylor.
An ideal guide for this tour of Tuscany, Taylor is a respected and award-winning sommelier who has collected numerous Italian stamps on his passport and is a member of the Board of Directors of the BC Chapter of the Canadian Association of Professional Sommeliers, a judge of the annual Vancouver Magazine International Wine Competition and a member of the Winery Selection Committee of the Vancouver International Wine Festival.
“We invite our guests to raise a glass to the longest day of the year while taking part in an informal, casual dinner where they can savour a true taste of Tuscany and make the varietals it produces more accessible and approachable,” says Taylor.
