Coquille Fine Seafood launches Chef’s Catch Dinner Series

COQUILLE LAUNCHES CHEF’S CATCH DINNER SERIES

Chef Lee Cooper embraces the changing seasons with an Ocean Wise monthly communal dinner at his Gastown seafood establishment.

With the end of summer comes the launch of a monthly four-course Chef’s Catch dinner series at Coquille Fine Seafood.  The 18-seat communal table dinner will take place the 3rd Thursday of each month starting on September 19th and will focus on a different Ocean Wise and seasonal seafood or shellfish each month.


Chef and Owner Lee Cooper and Chef de Cuisine, Chris Janowski are looking forward to creating a menu that celebrates the oceans bounty each month for an intimate group of diners.  “Our focus with our monthly Chef’s Catch Dinner will be to showcase what’s sustainable and available from our oceans on a seasonal basis.  This fall and winter we are inviting guests to come in for a cosy, communal dinner each month where we’ll put together a thoughtful wine-paired Ocean Wise menu” says Cooper of the program.

Chef Lee Cooper will be at the helm of the September 19th dinner with the menu focusing on Halibut.  The season for this Ocean Wise and British Columbia favourite typically runs from early spring until late fall so guests are invited to celebrate the tail end of the season with a seat at this exclusive dinner.  Diners will be treated to this spread while watching Chef Cooper and his culinary team preparing each dish.

Wine Director, Samantha Ross, will be working with some of her favourite producers to curate the perfect pairings to go along with the halibut focused Chef’s Catch Dinner and guests can look forward to a combination of local and international wines.

Seats are limited to 18 guests and tickets for the four-course Chef’s Catch Dinner will be sold for $85 per person including wine pairings (exclusive of taxes and gratuity) on the events page of the Coquille website.
