2015 Saignée (Rosé)
Culmina
Oliver, BC
$25.39
This rosé is made by ‘bleeding off’ (saignée in French) juice from red grapes before too much colour is imparted from the skins. This helps to make the resulting red wine (Hypothesis in this case) better by reducing the liquid to skin ratio, thus concentrating the wine. Cherry red in colour with medium intensity. Aromas of strawberries, fresh cream and cherries greet the nose. Good balance with smooth, silky texture. The flavours echo the nose, followed by a medium-plus finish.
2013 Célestiale

Lots of bright fruit on the palate followed by a medium-long finish. This wine opened, evolved and showed it’s best after a day or two. Great value.
