#WineWednesday Wine Reviews by @Sam_WineTeacher

2016 Chardonnay
Kelowna, BC
Lemon yellow with medium-minus intensity.  Apple, pear, citrus and butter on the nose.  Very good balance with good mouthfeel.  The flavours reflect the nose followed by a medium-plus finish.  This is the perfect everyday chardonnay to keep handy in your fridge.

2015 Cabernet Franc
Pacific Breeze
New Westminster, BC
Garnet red with deep intensity.  The nose is rich and layered with aromas of ripe blackberry, violets, plum, sandalwood, spice and earth.  Well balanced.  The flavours follow the nose and are backed up with a medium-long finish.  This wine is a bargain.

2014 Merlot
Tinhorn Creek
Oliver, BC
Garnet red with medium-deep intensity.  Dark fruit, plum, chocolate, and sweet spice on the nose.  Well balanced with soft ripe tannins.  The flavours echo the nose followed by a medium-long finish with lingering cocoa.  Paired well with garlic ginger flank steak.

2014 Pinot Noir
Eau Vivre
Cawston, BC
This nicely aged wine is garnet red in colour with medium-deep intensity.  Aromas of ripe dark cherry, spice, earth and dry cocoa rise from the glass. Good balance with smooth ripe tannins and good body.  The flavours mirror the nose followed by a medium-plus finish.

2016 Chianti Classico
San Felice
Milan, Italy
Great value Chianti Classico.  Ruby red with medium-deep intensity.  The nose is layered and integrated with aromas of red fruit, earth, spice, bramble, dust and dried herbs.  Well balanced.  The flavours mirror the nose followed by a medium-long finish.
