4.2 from 95 ratings
This cool-climate wine is rich and layered with aromas or floral, lemon, green apple, subtle oak, and spice, along with flavors of lemon drop, white stone fruit, yellow plum and honeydew melon. The end result is a richly textured and concentrated wine with balanced acidity that drives a lingering finish.
Freemark Abbey Napa Valley Chardonnay
BC – $42.98 | AB – SRP $43,00
Freemark Abbey Napa Valley Chardonnay is a bright and citrusy Chardonnay that is made complex as a result of oak aging. This Napa gem enhances dishes like lemon chicken and butter-poached lobster.
Light greenish straw in colour, the Freemark Abbey Napa Valley Chardonnay expresses fruit aromas of ripe pineapple, ripe banana, guava, apricot, peach and tropical fruit cocktail. Adding to the complexity, the oak ageing is fairly integrated adding spice like nutmeg, light toast, and the nuance of angel food cake. This wine has great viscosity, depth and an intriguing long finish. The flavours are lively on the palate with pear, citrus, lemon-lime, green apple and fleshy peach.

WINERY HISTORY
Founded in 1982, the Kendall-Jackson story is one of family, quality and stewardship.
La Crema
When La Crema was founded in 1979 as La Crema Viñera, meaning the Best of the Vine, the name was intended as an unabashed boast: These vineyards produced the very best grapes in the region. Today, the name has been shortened to mean, simply, the best, and La Crema’s wines represent the best grapes from preeminent cool-climate regions in California and Oregon.
La Crema wines—inspired by Burgundian-style Chardonnay and Pinot Noir—are made in small lots that nurture distinct flavors and balance. The end result is elegant wines that are unswerving in quality over time.
