Fort Berens Estate Winery New Experiences Available
Fort Berens Estate Winery has recently launched two new experiences at the winery including VIP tastings and tours, as well as private vineyard lunches.
Rolf de Bruin, co-founder and co-owner of Fort Berens explained, “Many things have changed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. With reduced capacity in our tasting room and on our patio, we wanted to innovate our service offerings to keep our customers and our team safe and comfortable. We took a look at our service offerings and added two new experiences.”
Rolf continued, “We are now offering a new and exclusive VIP tasting and tour at the winery. Guests will get a specialized wine tasting and a tour of our winery, vineyard and barrel room. The 60 minute plus guided tour will be with our tasting room manager, winemaker, or one of our owners. It’s a really personalized experience for our guests.”
The VIP tasting and tour package can be booked on any Saturday or Sunday this summer with a minimum of 2 people and a maximum of 6 people. The cost is $50 per person. Guests are asked to reserve their date and time by emailing reservations@nullfortberens.ca
If you’ve always wanted to sit amongst the vines, you now have an opportunity to do so with the new vineyard lunch offered by The Kitchen at Fort Berens. Rolf explained, “We have set up 2 private tables in our vineyard where guests can enjoy a delicious lunch in the vines. Our Executive Chef Bonnie Rounds has created a fabulous pre-set menu of shareable dishes that will be delivered to the table along with a choice of wine.”
Vineyard lunch reservations can be made on any Saturday or Sunday this summer, starting on July 5th, with a minimum of 2 people and a maximum of 6 people at a private table. The cost is $75 per person and includes the shareable dishes, wine, taxes and gratuity. Guests can reserve their date and time by emailing reservations@nullfortberens.ca
Now that summer has arrived, the tasting room at Fort Berens is open daily from 10am-6pm. The Kitchen at Fort Berens offers patio lunch service from 12pm-4pm daily, Tuesday through Sunday (closed Mondays). The recently updated summer menu features many local, fresh, seasonal ingredients. Advance reservations are recommended.
For those who may not feel comfortable entering the winery building, you can order wine in a contactless way on the Fort Berens website and pickup outside the winery where it will be placed in your vehicle.
