Maxine’s Cafe & Bar Officially Opens Nights
Popular West End corner bistro expands service into the evening.
After a successful launch of its daytime service, Maxine’s Cafe & Bar is pleased to officially announce Happy Hour and Dinner service.
Located at the gateway of the West End at 1325 Burrard Street (between Harwood Street and Maxine Lane), Maxine’s has been serving breakfast, lunch and brunch on its sun-dappled, heated, street-front patios since opening in April. The bistro has now stretched its laid-back and casual neighbourhood vibe into the evenings with the addition of both Happy Hour and Dinner service (Thursday to Sunday).
Happy Hour will run from 3pm to 5pm (Thursday to Sunday) and will see reduced pricing on Beverage Director JS Dupuis’ lively cocktail list, pints of Maxine’s Lager (a collaboration with Central City Brewers) and House Wine, complemented by Fresh Shucked Oysters of the Day and a menu of share plates and nibbles. This is in addition to the existing Wine List, featuring mostly BC and French selections, perfectly curated for summer patio sipping. As an added bonus, Happy Hour drink pricing will be in effect from 3pm through Dinner to closing time on Sundays.
The Dinner menu (Thursday to Sunday), created by Executive Chef Bobby Milheron, features elevated familiar favourites such as Linguine Alle Vongole, Steak Frites and Grilled Wild Salmon. Also on offer, somewhat unexpected delights such as White Anchovy Toast and Tuna Crudo. For dessert, options will include house-made Éclairs, Cinnamon French Toast, Panna Cotta and the Daily Cast Iron Crostada made with seasonal fruit.
Maxine’s Cafe & Bar welcomes guests daily: Monday to Wednesday, 8am to 3pm for breakfast, brunch and lunch; Thursday to Sunday, 8am to 9pm for breakfast, brunch, lunch, Happy Hour and Dinner. Service is drop-in, and reservations are not taken.
Takeout is available via Tock, and delivery available via FromTo and Doordash.
