2021 Muscat Canelli
Wine Maker’s Cut
Oliver, BC
$21.49
Pale lemon yellow with medium-light intensity.  Citrus, mandarin, pear, pineapple, melon, and lemon cream on the nose.  Good balance and a creamy texture.  Juicy, mouth-watering fruit on the palate followed by a medium-plus finish.  Give this yummy wine a try.

2022 Chardonnay Micro Cuvée
Meyer Family Vineyards
Okanagan Falls, BC
$60.97
Lemon yellow tinged with green and medium-minus intensity.  A well-integrated oak and fruit nose with aromas of honey, pear, lemon, butter, melon, apple, sweet straw, caramel, and toast.  Well balanced.  The flavours mirror the nose followed by a medium-long finish.  This is a ‘wow’ wine.

2022 Rosé
Skimmerhorn
Creston, BC
$27.00
This blend of 80% Marechal Foch and 20% Pinot Gris is cherry red with medium intensity.  The nose displays cherry, strawberry, melon, and lifted mandarin peel aromas.  Good balance with good mouthfeel.  Bright flavours on the palate including watermelon, and kiwi followed by a medium-plus finish.  This lovely, easy-drinking crowd-pleaser is perfect for lunch, the patio, or a picnic.  Serve with charcuterie, cold salmon, or a marinated pork loin.

2022 Cabernet/Merlot
Mayhem
Okanagan Falls, BC
$24.44
Despite the name, a blend of 92% Merlot and 8% Cabernet Franc. Garnet red with medium-deep intensity.  Black olive, cherry, leafy, plum, spice, a touch of bacon and leather, underbrush, and cashew on the nose.  Very good balance.  Bright red fruit on the palate followed by a medium-plus finish.  A lovely wine now, but one that will pay dividends if decanted or left to age.

2020 Two Hoots
Fairview Cellars
Oliver, BC
$29.00
My impression is that this winery isn’t on most people’s radar, but those who know it, know that they enjoy a reputation for well-made red wines.  This is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc.  Ruby red with medium-deep intensity.  The nose shows aromas of bright blackberries, black currant, spice, beetroot, a touch of menthol, plum, violets, and a hint of earth.  Very good balance.  The flavours follow the nose.  A medium-plus finish with fruit flavours lingering.  Just a youngin’ now.  I’ll be letting my others age for 5 to 10 years.
91+ Points.
