This Festive Season

Pop! And just like a cork popping from a champagne bottle, the holiday season is suddenly upon us. Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Festivus, Winter Solstice, Kwanzaa or none of these, this is the time of year when people gather to eat, drink and make merry. It’s the most wine-derful time of the year! Meeting with friends and family over good food and drink helps dispel the gloom during this darkest time of the year. At Provence Marinaside, Chief Elf (er Chef) Jean-Francis Quaglia and his team are cooking up some tasty ways to have a tree-mendous time while Wine Director Joshua Carlson has stocked the cellar with plenty of Prosecco-ho-ho-ho, Sparkling Wine and Champagne that’s sure to get you in the holiday spirit(s).

Turkey-To-Go:
Executive Chef Jean-Francis Quaglia and the kitchen brigade are coming to the rescue of weary cooks by offering Provence’s popular Turkey-To-Go, a traditional Christmas dinner for only $51 per person. Each individual dinner is pre-cooked and only requires re-heating to serve. The full meal includes carved turkey, roasted vegetables, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes and gravy, dinner roll and fondant au chocolate for dessert. Available for pre-order starting December 1, Turkey-To-Go orders must be placed online.

Please note: The deadline to place Turkey-to-Go orders is December 22 and Turkey-to-Go orders are available for pickup only on December 23 and 24, 2025, until 2:45 p.m. so you will need to select the date when placing your order.

Give the Gift of Good Taste:
Provence Gift Cards and Certificates are always an appreciated present. Gift Cards may be purchased online in any denomination. E-Gift Certificates are delivered by email directly to you or your chosen recipient. If you prefer a physical gift card, they can be purchased in person at the restaurant*.

Purchase your gift cards online before November 30 and receive a $20 bonus card** for yourself for every $100 spent up to a maximum of $200 in bonus cards. From December 1 through 15 receive a $15 bonus certificate** for every $100 in gift certificate purchases made online. Don’t wait too long though, there’s a limited number of bonus certificates to be had.

* The Gift Card bonus promotion applies to online orders only – physical cards purchased at the restaurant are not eligible for the bonus.
** Promotional bonus certificates are valid January 2, 2026 to May 31, 2026. Purchased certificates do not expire.

Making Spirits Sparkle:
Whether you are looking to make merry with friends after work, or enjoy an elegant dinner for two, you are sure to find just the right bubbly at Provence to turn any occasion into a festive one. With one of Canada’s largest wine lists, Provence offers more than a dozen sparklers by the glass from Prosecco to Sparkling Wine to Champagne ranging in price from $12 to $38 per glass. Some by-the-glass favorites include: Mionetto Prosecco ($15/ Valdobiadenne, Veneto), Luc Belaire Rare Sparkling Rosé ($17/Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, Provence), Haywire Winery Vintage Bub ($20/Summerland, BC) and Bénédicte et Stéphane Tissot BBF Crémant du Jura ($30/Montigny-les-Arsures, Jura, France).

The extensive wine list also includes more than 30 Sparkling Wines and Champagnes available by the bottle including favourites such as Canadian sparklers CedarCreek Estate Winery Platinum Brut Rosé ($90/Kelowna), Benjamin Bridge Méthode Classique Brut ($120/Gaspereau Valley, Nova Scotia) and Tantalus Vineyards Blanc de Blancs Brut ($145/Kelowna) to name but three.

The cellar also includes a limited selection of bubbles from the US and UK including: Schramsberg Vineyards Blanc de Blancs ($150/Napa Valley), Ancre Hill Estates Dosage Zéro Blanc de Noirs ($175/Monmouth, Wales) and J. Schram by Schramsberg Vineyards ($325/Napa Valley).

Of course, what would a French restaurant be without Champagne? It’s the ultimate celebratory wine that adds a certain je ne c’est quoi to every festive occasion. Provence Marinaside currently offers 21 Champagnes by the bottle ranging from Pol Roger Brut Réserve ($155/Épernay, Champagne) and Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label Brut ($165/ Reims, Champagne) through to such premium Champagnes as Stéphane Regnault Mixolydien n° 29 Grand Cru Brut ($225/Oger, Champagne) and Perrier Jouët Belle Epoque Brut ($500 /Épernay, Champagne). If you are in the mood for something really special, then indulge with a bottle of Louis Roderer Cristal Brut ($800/Reims, Champagne), Krug Vintage Brut ($825/Reims, Champagne) or Philipponnat Clos des Goisses Extra Brut ($875/Aÿ, Champagne).

December Menus:
Provence will be offering its regular menus for brunch, lunch, Happy Hour and dinner throughout December so you can enjoy all your favourite French comfort food during regular opening hours. Don’t feel like going out? No problem. Provence dishes are also available for takeout or save yourself the trip and order-in through Uber Eats.

New Year’s Eve:
New Year’s Eve at Provence Marinaside promises to be a cork-popping celebratory affair filled with wonderful food, fine wines, bubbly champagne and lively music. “We wanted to create an elegant menu worthy of ringing in the New Year,” says Provence’s Owner and Executive Chef Jean-Francis Quaglia.

Guests have two dining options – a three-course New Year’s Eve Prix Fixe Menu for $92/person or, if three courses seem like too much (or not enough!), guests may select individual dishes à la carte. Prices for the individual à la carte dishes range from $27 to $56 with optional luxury starters such as Foie Gras Terrine ($27), Half Dozen Fresh Oysters ($27) or Northern Divine Caviar Blini ($30).

To add to the celebratory atmosphere, Gary Comeau and his Trio will be entertaining guests with Louisiana-inspired jazz, roots and blues from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.  Reservations are available beginning at 3 p.m. with the last reservation at 10:45 pm.

Tables seated prior to 9:30 p.m. may be rebooked for a later seating, guests are asked to respect seating time limits. Reservations booked at 9:30 or later will be able to stay through Provence’s traditional New Year’s countdown with Chef Jean-Francis.
