Hawksworth Restaurant Welcomes Chef Jérémie Bastien of Montréal’s Monarque for Collaborative Dinner
Hawksworth Restaurant at the Rosewood Hotel Georgia welcomes Chef Jérémie Bastien of Montréal’s acclaimed Monarque for a one-night-only collaboration dinner featuring a communal dining experience on Saturday, September 5. The evening brings together two celebrated Canadian chefs for a dinner rooted in seasonality, craftsmanship, and ingredient-driven cuisine.
The dinner marks a return to Vancouver for Chef Jérémie Bastien, who became an executive chef in the city at just 25 years old before opening Monarque in Montréal alongside his father, Richard Bastien, in 2018. The restaurant has since been consistently recognized among Canada’s 100 Best Restaurants, earned a place in the MICHELIN Guide, and received Québec’s Laurier Award for Restaurant of the Year in 2023. In 2025, the Bastien family expanded their farm-to-table approach with Les Jardins du Monarque, a bio-intensive vegetable farm supplying the restaurant with seasonal produce.
