Just 500 cases were made of the award-winning wine. It was honoured with a gold medal at the prestigious 24th annual Chardonnay du Monde wine competition, one of only three Canadian wines to win.
The McWatters namesake wines are blended from premium grapes grown in the South Okanagan Valley, a testament to the family’s dedication and perseverance over 50 vintages to help create a premium wine growing region in British Columbia.
The 2014 McWatters Chardonnay is rich and elegant with well-balanced fruit and oak characteristics, alongside notes of pineapple, tropical fruit, hints of honey, lemon zest and buttered toast, leading to a long and lingering dry finish.
The wine will be available while supplies last in Ontario via the LCBO, or directly from the winery at encorevineyards.ca.
