Wolf in the Fog launches Local Legends cocktail program

New, locally sourced bar menu celebrates classic cocktails and British Columbia spirits

Wolf in the Fog has added a local dimension to its robust cocktail program, aptly titled Local Legends. A toast to fresh ingredients and Canadian producers, the new menu features a number of classic cocktails made exclusively with B.C. spirits.

Wolf in the Fog’s Local Legends program boasts four staple cocktails, each concocted with locally sourced spirits and liqueurs. Featuring a Negroni, Lynchburg Lemonade, Chi Chi and two different Gin & Tonic variations, the Local Legends menu honours these well-loved cocktails, each showcasing B.C. product of the highest quality and embellished with a uniquely creative touch.

“We are beyond excited to launch this local spirit cocktail list,” says Bar Manager Hailey Pasemko. “Each of these B.C. spirits is a local legend in its own right and we are honoured to use them to curate a fresh and proudly Canadian take on some of the world’s most popular cocktails.”

First on the list, the ‘Locals Only Negroni’ (a twist on the classic Negroni aperitif), is made with Sheringham Seaside gin, Legend Distillery’s Naramaro amaro and Odd Society Bittersweet vermouth, honouring the very best of B.C. spirits. Next up is the ‘Lynn Road Lemonade’, inspired by the Lynchburg Lemonade, blending Okanagan Spirits BRBN (100% BC Bourbon-style corn whisky), Naramata-based Legend Distillery’s Manitou orange liqueur, lemon and soda for an invigorating citrus palate. The ‘Chi Chi’ celebrates that iconic, universally loved tropical flavour, combining Pacific Rim Distillery’s Humpback Vodka (produced in Ucluelet), Legend Distillery’s Naramaro amaro and tepache with potent hints of coconut.

The Local Legends bar menu is capped off with two distinct takes on the Gin & Tonic. For faithful G&T lovers, the ‘Classic G&T’ features Wayward Distillery’s Unruly gin, Phillips Artisanal Dry tonic and lemon. For those with an adventurous streak, the ‘Last Unicorn G&T’ unquestionably lives up to its name. Made with Victoria Spirits Empress 1908 gin, Phillips Botanical tonic and lemon, its deep, almost mystical purple hue makes this drink just as Instagram-worthy as it is refreshing.
