Cheers to the rest of summer! As we step into Fall, there’s a cooler but exciting breeze in the air. Our winery team are about to dive into another harvest with interns from around-the-world touching down at the winery. We’re bottling our 2017 Pinot Noir and Chardonnays and Old Vines Restaurant are switching up menus to play with the summer/early fall produce entering their kitchen.

With new offerings in both the Wine Shop and Old Vines Restaurant coming this Fall, we’re excited to welcome you and your guests to the winery to help you pair your perfect moments.

Born and raised in a ranching family in Australia, Susan did her winemaking training in New Zealand prior to travelling the world for 13 years making wine in Australia, New Zealand, France and Oregon before settling in California.  She has called California home for the past 15 years working for MacMurray Ranch (Healdburg), Diageo Chateau & Estate Wines (Napa) and, most recently, Spring Mountain Vineyard (Napa). We’re excited to welcome Susan as our VP of Operations overseeing our Winemaking Operations in both BC and California.


You can find us pouring at the Victoria International Wine Festival on September 20 and 21 at the Parkside Hotel & Spa. We’ll be showcasing wines from both Quails’ Gate and our sister property in California – Lake Sonoma.

On October 4, Jan Dobbener and Sommelier Mike Lee are hosting a progressive wine and culinary journey around our estate. At each location guests will be treated to tastings of our exclusive estate wines, perfectly paired with small-plates. $110 per person | 6 PM to 10 PM



Starting October 15,  Happy Hour returns to Old Vines Restaurant as Wine O’ Clock. Join us for  a selection of specially priced wines and small bites from our culinary team. More details to follow.
