Just the other day I stopped off at Broadway Station to do a little browsing and a little shopping.
The Cambie corridor just north of Broadway has developed into a great commercial stopover. Whatever your household needs you can find just about anything in the strip between Broadway and the Cambie Street Bridge. There is a great selection of everything from hardware to grocery stores.
Take a stroll, stop off for coffee or how about buying dinner from the organic section in the local grocery store, grab a bottle of wine, and head home to enjoy your bounty.
Don’t feel like cooking? No problem the Broadway/Cambie neighbourhood offers great take-out and trendy restaurants. And don’t miss the annual Cambie Village Summer Sizzler…one of the best street parties of the summer!
If you’re really lucky you may run into (or at least hear) the strolling opera singer. If you live in the Fairview area you have probably run into him before. I don’t know his name or anything else about him except he sings opera superbly. It always ups my day to hear him as he goes about his business on the streets of the Fairview district. My most recent encounter was on a rainy Thursday. The perfect way to bring a little sunshine into your day!
Gotta love our Canada Line community.
