Desi Indian Restaurant is celebrating Father’s Day on Sunday, June 21 with a special $40 per person, four-course brunch served from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The menu brings a bold, modern take on Indian-inspired comfort food, starting with a Makhani Egg Benny featuring poached egg and smoky tandoori chicken under rich makhani hollandaise with spiced gunpowder potatoes. Guests can add on dishes like Soya Utthapam, a Chettinad-style soya-topped rice pancake with coconut chutney mayo. The menu continues with Crispy Chicken Poha and Matkichi Usal, a Bombay-style combination of semolina fried chicken, tempered flattened rice, and moong sprout curry, and finishes with a Rabdi French Toast topped with creamy rabri and fresh fruit. Available over three days (June 19–21), the special centres on a slow-cooked whole chicken leg confit served with creamy herb butter lima beans, fresh North Vancouver greens topped with a sunny-side egg, buttery mashed potatoes, Two Rivers pork sausage, and a rich red wine jus. The dish leans into seasonal comfort, offering a generous, rustic-style plate that’s built for a proper Father’s Day feast.

To celebrate Father’s day, The Victor invites guests to celebrate on Sunday, June 21 from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. with an elevated brunch buffet experience designed for the whole family. Priced at $90 per adult and $45 for children 12 and under, the celebration blends indulgent dining with a relaxed, social atmosphere across both the restaurant and patio. The menu features an expansive selection of brunch favourites and interactive stations, including a chilled seafood display with fresh oysters, crab legs, ceviche, and spicy tuna rolls, alongside a bao bun station and a build-your-own acai bowl bar on the patio. Black + Blue is bringing the steakhouse experience home with a curated “BBQ at Home with Dad” grilling kit, available for pickup on June 20 or 21. Designed to serve four, the thoughtfully assembled package is built for an elevated backyard feast centred around premium cuts, signature house-made sauces, and steakhouse-inspired sides. The kit features a 14oz ribeye, 14oz striploin, B+B jerk chicken skewers, a trio of sausages (beef, chicken, and wild boar), jumbo prawns marinated with lemon, garlic and herbs, and harissa-spiced lamb chops. This Father’s Day weekend, House of Dawn Steakhouse presents its Ultimate Surf N Turf experience, a limited-time celebratory menu available from June 19 to June 21. Priced at $178 per set. The multi-course menu begins with a 10oz PEI Prime Striploin, followed by a delicately prepared Fish en Papillote featuring Suzuki seabass with fennel and blood orange, finished with an Asian-spiced Béarnaise sauce. The experience is further elevated with a Lobster Tail Thermidor, accompanied by lobster drawn butter, and rounded out with steakhouse frites and a fresh green salad. House of Dawn Steakhouse presents the Beef Masterclass, an immersive culinary experience for guests passionate about premium beef, led by Chef James. Held every Sunday at 2:00 PM (including Father’s Day) with a limited capacity of 10–15 guests, this $128 per person experience offers an in-depth exploration of world-renowned beef programs from Canada, the United States, Australia, and Japan.
Designed as both an educational and tasting journey, the experience guides guests through comparative tastings that highlight differences in marbling, terroir, feeding programs, grading systems, and overall flavour profiles. The session includes a non-alcoholic drink station, fruit station, curated steak tasting sides, sauces, and a structured tasting menu.
Guests will sample a range of premium cuts, including Canadian Atlantic Beef striploin and ribeye from Brant Lake Farm, U.S. Creekstone Prime striploin and Snake River Farms ribeye, as well as Australian Black Market Angus MB5+ striploin and Mayura Station MB9+ ribeye, among others. The experience is structured as a guided culinary progression from arrival and chef-led education to a “beef showdown” tasting and final comparative experience offering a unique, hands-on way to engage with steak culture at the highest level.
