Okanagan Crush Pad winery is pleased to announce the establishment of its winery direct marketing and sales team to service British Columbia. After three years of working with external sales agents, we have determined that the timing was right to form our own team; one that can focus on our Haywire, Bartier Scholefield, and Bartier Bros wines exclusively and provide exceptional customer service.
Alison Scholefield and Whitney Law will continue to manage marketing and sales efforts from Okanagan Crush Pad’s Vancouver office, overseeing corporate accounts, the sales desk, promotions and marketing, and providing customers support.
Rebeka Eriksson joined our team in February and is responsible for on-premise and LRS accounts in Metro Vancouver. Rebeka has spent the past three months getting familiar with our customers and seeking new opportunities. She will be joined in the Metro Vancouver area by Amy Hollenbach who will also service the Fraser Valley.
Amy has been working in beverage sales for the past four years and is well-known to many of Okanagan Crush Pad’s customers. Amy was born in Penticton and grew up living on her family’s vineyard where she became very familiar to the hard work of grape-growing. After studying arts and receiving a degree from California State University Sacramento she practiced graphic design. She then moved into beverage sales, work that is suited to her outgoing personality. She is no stranger to Okanagan Crush Pad and its wine portfolio. Since birth, Amy has been a close family friend. “We are thrilled to have Amy join our team”, noted Christine Coletta, owner of Okanagan Crush Pad. “She has the right mix of knowledge, drive, and determination and will be a significant contribution to our team. We are a family operated business and Amy is a natural extension to our team.”
Vancouver Island will continue to be handled by Caroline Gertzen of Carpe Diem Wine Sales, who has been representing Haywire and Bartier Scholefield wines since June 2013. “Caroline has done an excellent job for us, and we are thrilled to have her continue to represent us on the island”, said Coletta.
Mike West moved to the Okanagan from London, England seeking work in the wine industry. He joined the team at Okanagan Crush Pad in October 2012 to work in the cellar. Discovering his computer science, hospitality, and wine education training, Mike was graduated to the tasting room in June 2013. He is now in charge of all onsite hospitality and sales and will handle external sales in the Okanagan and Interior territory.
“We are really thrilled to have our own sales team”, noted Coletta. “We are trying to push the boundaries of defining a new direction for Okanagan-made wines, and no one can tell this story more articulately or know what we are capable of than our own people”. “They will have a singular focus and with that we expect a high level of customer service and satisfaction.”
Located in beautiful Summerland, BC, the winery overlooks Switchback vineyard, an organic site that is also home to roaming sheep and chickens. Okanagan Crush Pad crafts wines that are symbolic of the region’s unique high mountain/northern desert setting which has an intensely hot, short growing season with hallmark cool evenings. The winery is the first in Canada to extensively use concrete tanks and wines that are fermented and aged in concrete carry the Raised in Concrete™ designation.
