The BC Wine Institute is proud to partner again with Visa Infinite with an expanded series to create the ultimate wine touring experience for Visa Infinite cardholders.
The British Columbia Wine Institute (BCWI) has teamed up again with Visa Infinite to create the ultimate wine touring program, exclusively for Visa Infinite cardholders. This year, 38 BC wineries are participating in the Visa Infinite Wine Country Experiences program and have developed special benefits ranging from complimentary tastings, unique winery experiences and exclusive special events.
The Visa Infinite Wine Country Experiences go beyond the bottle, giving cardholders an insightful look into some of BC’s most renowned wineries. Each partnering winery offers cardholders an exclusive benefit, including complimentary tastings, in-depth vineyard tours, behind-the-scenes winery tours, private barrel tastings, and discounts ranging from 10 to 20 per cent. These benefits allow access to unique BC Wine Country Experiences, creating amazing memories to be enjoyed again and again each time a bottle of BC wine is opened.
Now in its fourth year, the 2015 program will feature a series of three long-table winery dinners, held at some of British Columbia’s most breathtaking wineries. The long-table dining series kicks off on Friday, July 24 with a Celebration of Sustainable Seafood Dinner at Church and State Wines in Victoria. At this exclusive event, guests will enjoy culinary creations from four of the region’s most passionate practitioners of eco conscious West Coast cuisine, led by renowned Chef Ned Bell (Executive Chef at YEW Restaurant, Four Seasons Vancouver). Each dish will be perfectly paired with a selection of award-winning wines from Church and State and other notable BC wineries.
Additional dining experiences this year will include a sumptuous multi-course dinner with chefs Rob Walker, Vikram Vij, Trevor Bird and Dilan Draper at the visually striking Liquidity Winery. In honour of the third annual British Columbia Pinot Noir Celebration, guests will be invited to meet and interact with Decanter Magazine’s Steven Spurrier at the dinner. Cardholders will be in for another treat as Canada’s leading chefs unleash their combined skills for an incredible Okanagan feast drawing on pristine local ingredients to complement Burrowing Owl Estate Winery’s spectacular wines and views in the last event of the dining series.
Each dinner will bring together top chefs from across the country, paired with some of the best wines BC has to offer. The culmination of the Visa Infinite Wine Country Experiences program this year will be the BC Grand Okanagan Wine Country Weekend in September 25 to 27 in Kelowna.
