This April 7, Vancouver will be hit by a snow storm. While not all weather forecasts are as precise as this one, Vancouver TheatreSports™ League (VTSL) has carefully studied the auguries and is confident in its prediction.
On April 7, Throne and Games – A Chance of Snow opens at The Improv Centre on Granville Island. A sequel to VTSL’s smash hit from 2015, Throne and Games – Laughter is Coming, Throne and Games – A Chance of Snow is embarking on speculative, uncharted territory much like HBO’s popular TV series that starts later in April. Is a certain popular character from Season Five really dead … or not? In such dark times, it’s good to recall the words of A Song of Ice and Fire author George R.R. Martin, “Laughter is poison to fear.”
VTSL’s improvisers will go to ‘The Wall’ to give patrons an exceptionally entertaining evening while working under the ‘high pressure’ created by the audience’s suggestions and involvement. With a new scenario mapped out by popular ensemble member Graeme Duffy, a new set, a surprising cast of characters, and more plot twists than a tornado; this all-new production comes with a severe hilarity warning. This is one comedic trough that is sure to blow you away as the laugh-count rises.
Throne and Games – A Chance of Snow runs every Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening at 7:30 p.m. April 7 through May 28 at The Improv Centre on Granville Island. Tickets, starting as low as $10/student and senior or $15/adult, are on sale now at vtsl.com.
