Blue Grouse Estate Winery hosts several dates of holiday cheer

Blue Grouse Estate Winery is an easy, local, winter wine country getaway. Quickly becoming one of the most popular food and wine destinations in Western Canada, the Cowichan Valley is just 45 minutes from downtown Victoria.

Normally closed during the winter months, by popular demand Blue Grouse is extending its tasting room hours and has added unique events and offerings that will satisfy visitors of all ages. Save the dates:

* Holiday Open House: On Sunday, December 4 (12noon to 5pm). Blue Grouse opens the doors for its annual FREE event. Enjoy mulled wines, artisan cheese and charcuterie boards, holiday crafts, prizes, holiday music and more.

* Soup Saturdays: Available for purchase, visitors can enjoy a home-style soup and freshly-baked bread, paired with wine, every Saturday in November and December. Cost: $14 per person.

* Parties & Picnics: Blue Grouse is the ideal spot for a holiday gathering. Consider an indoor picnic in front of the large fireplace alongside catered culinary offerings and tasty Blue Grouse wines. Or the beautiful and festive upper lounge can be booked for parties from 10-35 people for just $15 per person, including a complimentary glass of wine. Food & more wine (of course) is available at additional cost. Food selections may include canapés, meat & cheese boards, hand pies, sandwich platters and more.

* Artisanal Food Pairings: Pre-order a hand-selected charcuterie and cheese board to accompany your wine tasting. Cost: $25.00

11am to 5pm (Thurs-Sun) until December 23, 2016

11am to 3pm – December 24

Closed – December 25-31
