We would love for you to join our 2019 Garlic Festival Team!

Volunteers Wanted!!!

Your work as a volunteer is a fundamental part of Garlic Festival at Hester Creek. As a volunteer, you are contributing to the success of this wonderful event, and to a great cause, The Oliver Elementary Farm to School Program. With this event you will get to experience being part of an amazing day, meeting new people and gaining work experience. An event of this size and scope is just not possible without the work of volunteers.

Volunteer Opportunities & Times

Saturday, October 5th

 

Set Up –  6:30AM to 9:30AM (4 Volunteers) 
– This position requires heavy lifting and moving on your feet for the duration of your shift (must be able to lift 35 pounds)
– Assist the operations team with set up of venue, including tables, chairs, decor, vendor set up, etc.

 

Front Gate Greeter – 2 per shift 
– Welcome guests and share event information while accepting entry donations.

  • Shift # 1: 9:30AM – 11:30AM
  • Shift # 2: 11:30AM – 1:30PM
  • Shift # 3: 1:30PM – 3:30PM
  • Shift # 4: 3:30PM – 5:30PM

Parking Attendant – 6 per shift 
– Assist guest to park throughout the vineyard.
– Safety vests will be provided.

  • Shift # 1: 9:30AM – 11:30AM
  • Shift # 2: 11:30AM – 1:30PM
  • Shift # 3: 1:30PM – 3:30PM
  • Shift # 4: 3:30PM – 5:30PM

Shuttle Driver – 4 per shift 
– Shuttle Drivers can be expected to drive guests from car to winery
as well as winery to car within the vineyard.
– Current class 5 license required.
– Vehicle will be provided.

  • Shift # 1: 9:30AM – 11:30AM
  • Shift # 2: 11:30AM – 1:30PM
  • Shift # 3: 1:30PM – 3:30PM
  • Shift # 4: 3:30PM – 5:30PM

Festival Grounds Support – Floater 
– Requires heavy lifting and moving on your feet for duration of your shift, such as moving wine cases helping keep the ground clean and organized.
– Assisting with any requested tasks from operations team. 

  • Shift # 1: 9:30AM – 11:30AM (3 Volunteers)
  • Shift # 2: 11:30AM – 1:30PM (3 Volunteers)
  • Shift # 3: 1:30PM – 3:30PM (4 Volunteers)
  • Shift # 4: 3:30PM – 5:30PM (4 Volunteers)

Event Tear down – 4:30PM to 6:30PM (6 Volunteers) 
– Assist the Operations Team with event tear down and clean up
