2017 Reserve Chardonnay

2017 RESERVE CHARDONNAY

The 2017 harvest, lasting 66 days, was one of extremes. The harvest started later than anticipated, with a cool, wet spring. However, a record-breaking dry spell followed in July and August, with temperatures well above seasonal norms. This warm, dry summer resulted in a crop of small, concentrated berries that should produce wines of exceptional depth and intensity. The harvest concluded on October 30, yielding a crop reminiscent of the incredible 2009 vintage.

Tasting Notes
A tremendous balance of texture, acidity, and freshness. Bright apple, lemon, tropical fruit and a hint of baking spice are all balanced with an elegant texture and fresh acidity on the palate.

Our Reserve Chardonnay highlights the excellence of the Okanagan! A tremendous balance of texture, acidity and freshness. Bright apple, lemon, tropical fruit and a hint of baking spice are all balanced with an elegant texture and fresh acidity on the palate.

2018 Jagged Rock Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc - Semillon

2018 JAGGED ROCK VINEYARD SAUVIGNON BLANC – SEMILLON

Jagged Rock Vineyard, surrounded by steep rocky cliffs at 1,400 feet elevation, is a remarkable spot. The sparse, sun scorched soils and heat reflecting off the cliffs provides an ideal viticultural environment. Each area of the vineyard has its own unique growing condition, allowing the winemakers to choose specific blocks to get the most out of the Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon used to create this refreshing wine.

Tasting Notes
Aromas of passionfruit, apricot, and lemon verbena. Citrus flavours carry the wine to a supple finish.
Food Pairing Notes
Foccacia, crème fraïche and tomatoes.

Focused and bright with fresh grapefruit, citrus and white stonefruits. A perfectly balanced palate of subtle textures and fine acidity.

Reserve Brut

RESERVE BRUT

An early pioneer in the Okanagan Valley, today, Mission Hill Family Estate encompasses a broad spectrum of vineyard estates with more than 30 diverse microclimates. Our c ntinual experimentation, understanding of the soil and clones that best perform in specific areas, and technological investment, have led us to precision farming that is both sustainable and delivers ultra-premium grapes.

Our Reserve wines are handcrafted on the premise of “Selection” – selection in the vineyard and the cellar. We source our fruit from the top 15% of our estate vineyards and 75% of the same vineyard blocks are used to ensure consistency vintage to vintage.

The illustration on our label is an original architect sketch from Tom Kundig when he and Proprietor Anthony von Mandl were designing the winery. The renowned Bell Tower is the focal point surrounded by the hillside where our winery sits.

Tasting Notes
Tremendously fresh with notes of crisp apple, white peach and Anjou pear all highlighted by vibrant acidity and bright citrus on the finish.
2014 Quatrain

2014 QUATRAIN

QUATRAIN is four lines of verse that we interpret as four varietals giving balance and structure to this wine. We painstakingly managed each vine from distinct
blocks to ensure perfect ripeness and opulent flavours from our vineyard estates in eastern Osoyoos (87%) and the Black Sage Bench in Oliver (13%). This unique cuvée was fermented in small, specially designed French oak fermenters.

Tasting Notes
Ripe plum and dark cherry with hints of vanilla, black pepper and a touch of licorice.
Food Pairing Notes
Lamb tajine, wild boar ragu, and carmelized butternut squash.
