DINNER WITH A VIEW VANCOUVER ANNOUNCES CELEBRITY CHEF, PAUL MORAN

Chef Moran, winner of Top Chef Canada 2019, to prepare three menus for DWAV’s Vancouver debut

Dinner With A View will open its domes at Ambleside Beach, West Vancouver, from January 15th – February 16th 2020, with tickets available to purchase now, and already 60% sold out. Highly acclaimed Chef Paul Moran is being officially announced as the pop-up restaurant’s Head Chef, set to prepare a delicious three-course blind menu, with meat, fish or vegan options.

Chef Moran has honed his talent at some of the world’s top restaurants and hotels. Devoted to sourcing the highest quality ingredients, he prepares exceptional dishes with straightforward cooking techniques. He began his career apprenticing under Chef David Hawksworth at Vancouver’s multi-award-winning WEST restaurant, where he worked his way up to Junior Sous Chef.

In 2015, Chef Moran received the honor of S. Pellegrino Best Chef Under 30, earning the right to represent Canada in Milan, Italy for the title of World’s Best Young Chef. He is also a past recipient of the Hawksworth Young Chef Award.

In 2019, Chef Moran competed on Food Network Canada’s show, Top Chef Canada, where he took home the title of Canada’s Top Chef.

Moran is currently Executive Chef at 1909 Kitchen at the Tofino Resort + Marina, where dishes are created with ingredients sourced and foraged from Tofino’s oceans, shoreline and forests.

Chef Moran will incorporate local ingredients into his menu for Dinner With A View’s exclusive gastronomic adventure under the stars. Attendees will be situated in heated, clear and frameless geodesic domes, each designed to stimulate the senses by marrying an elevated culinary experience with a unique view.

The 20 domes in Vancouver will be transformed into unique terrariums, each corresponding to a different region of the earth’s terroir: tundra, tropical, grasslands, arid and boreal forest. These extraordinary spaces will be brought to life using faux flora, luxurious textiles and elegant illumination.

“As a life-long forager, I love connecting people with food in an outdoor setting – although not the easiest during a West Coast winter,” says Chef Paul Moran. “Dinner With A View’s iconic geodesic domes offer a one-of-a-kind dining experience, surrounded by the natural elements. I’m excited to be a part of it!”

The Dinner With A View dining series will arrive in Vancouver this January [January 15 – February 16, 2020]. Ticket sales are open to the public now, available for purchase online at dinnerwithaview.ca, where prospective guests can sign up to receive exclusive promotions.
