2016 TIME Syrah
THE VINEYARD
The 2016 Syrah was sourced from the Sundial vineyard on the Black Sage Bench in Oliver, which features stone-free, sandy material that drains rapidly and is well-suited to grape production. These grapes were grown in the sandy loam soil, where the vines enjoyed hot days, cool nights and a wet vintage. Careful viticulture practices included cluster- thinning and leaf removal, ensuring luscious ripe fruit with well- balanced acidity. Harvested October 25, 2016.
WINEMAKING
This Syrah was aged 14 months in French oak barrels. Cold soaked for two days then fermented on the skins for 21 days.
TASTING NOTES
Full bodied and lush, on the nose our Syrah shows bold aromas of ripe blackberry and hints of mint. On the palate, flavours of fresh black currant and dark plum with traces of ground pepper and cinnamon. This Syrah will age gracefully through 2024.

WINEMAKING The fruit for this blend was hand harvest from vineyards in the South Okanagan. At the winery we sorted the grapes then gently destemmed and crushed the fruit before fermentation. The grapes stayed on the skins in tank for 3 weeks before pressing. The wine was aged for 16 months in new and neutral French oak barrels. Ready to enjoy now, this wine will age gracefully for 7-10 years.
TASTING NOTES Albert Einstein famously characterised “time” as the fourth dimension. In tribute to this is a blend of four varieties: Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon, with appealing notes of cherry, raspberry, red fruit, black pepper and delicate spice notes. Soft and smooth with great balance, this boldly flavoured and juicy blend is a crowd pleaser, ready to enjoy with friends and family… anyTIME.
