On November 21st, donate cash or unwrapped gifts to support SOWINS at TIME Family of Wines
For the second year, TIME Family of Wines presents “TIME to Give,” a fundraising event in collaboration with the South Okanagan Women in Need Society’s (SOWINS) Share the Spirit campaign and Move 97.1 radio.
On Sunday, November 21st from 12:00pm to 4:00pm, it’s TIME to Give, as TIME Family of Wines invites you to bring unwrapped gifts and cash donations to 361 Martin Street, and help SOWINS provide holiday hampers to families in the community.
Donors will also enjoy complimentary tastings and door prize draws, while 10% of TIME Family of Wines’ sales will go towards SOWINS. TIME Family of Wines will accept donations during business hours for those unable to attend the event as well.
What is the SOWINS Share the Spirit Campaign?
The Share the Spirit campaign is an annual holiday fundraiser by SOWINS, a charity that offers programs and services to individuals suffering from current or past violence and abuse. This initiative collects donations to brighten the holidays of vulnerable women, children, and youth in Southern Okanagan.
“We have all come through some very difficult times and the women, children, and families we serve have been especially affected by this pandemic with isolation and abuse on the rise,” states Danielle Goulden, Executive Director, SOWINS. “Let’s give them the holiday they deserve in 2021! Show them YOUR spirit and change a life today.”
During TIME to Give on November 21st, donors are encouraged to bring cash donations or unwrapped gifts to help build holiday hampers for the Share the Spirit campaign.
Gifts can include anything from gift cards for groceries or gas, kitchen essentials, and bed linens to pyjamas, headphones, games, and clothing of all kinds. There are great gift ideas for women, youth, and children on the SOWINS website at www.sowins.com/
