Spotlight Winery | TIME Family of Wines | TIME Sauvignon Blanc

Featuring a Spotlight Wine from TIME Family of Wines

If I had to narrow down the Winethusiast Club‘s Spotlight Winery wine bundle to just one wine, this would be the wine I would pick. A versatile, white blend that makes for an aperitif anytime and also pairs well with a range of different dishes.

The Sauvignon Blanc is just one of six wines that are available now for a limited time only. *** Special BONUS: Each TIME Family wine bundle includes a gift certificate for a complimentary Signature Wine Thief Tasting for up to 4 guests, plus a $10 shipping credit! $10 shipping credit (normally available with a $200 minimum order) $152.00 6 Bottle Bundle available online

Here is my pick, when picking just one:

TIME 2018 Sauvignon Blanc

Tropical citrus and gentle oak aromas, balanced by a creamy mouthfeel and a bright, citrusy finish. Barrel fermented for added texture and complexity.

Sauvignon Blanc (96%)
Semillon (4%)

Silver Barrel Vineyard (Okanagan Falls)

Stainless fermented, then barrel-aged for 2 months in French oak.

Classic aromas circle in the glass: honeydew melon, pear, and a hint of tangerine. Taste hints of apricot and mango swirled with ripe gooseberry. This wine is mellowed by barrel aging, resulting in a sturdy and vibrant finish with delicate traces of oak.

Hints of Meyer lemon with good acidity. Crisp and fruity. The Sauvignon Blanc makes an enjoyable stand-alone sipper, yet also lends itself well with pairings such as mild cheeses, and more delicate dishes with cream sauces or with white fish, or sockeye salmon. Think pairing with BBQ fare.

A definite winner on the patio in summer, and just as at home in front of the fireplace accompanied by savoury snacks and a good Netflix movie.

Made to enjoy now, and why wouldn’t you? Smooth and equally delicate, this is a pleasing wine.

$22.99 available online

I had occasion to pair the Time Sauvignon Blanc with an Asian dish of Dumpling Soup with Noodles. That dish is fast becoming a family favourite because you can easily adjust the recipe for a crowd. Recipe #ThisWineThatDish previously paired with a Chardonnay, I also enjoyed the soup equally well with the Time Sauvignon Blanc.
