Get your tickets to Spring Okanagan Wine Festival!
There are many great wine events taking place across the Okanagan Valley for Spring Okanagan Wine Festival, happening May 5th – 15th. This is the first time in two years that the Okanagan Wine Festival Society (OWFS) has been able to hold the festival. “We are thrilled to be back to events and doing the important work of putting our BC wineries on the stage they so well deserve!” says Elan Morris, General Manager.
Throughout the 10-day festival, OWFS hosts three Signature Events, at each of which guests can taste wines from all over the Okanagan Valley. All tickets are available through thewinefestivals.com.
The first weekend of the festival kicks off with the Valley First Spring Wine Tastings at the Rotary Centre for the Arts. The largest of the Spring Wine Festival events, you can expect dozens of wines to taste including many new releases, music from Kelowna’s top classic rock cover band, plenty of appetizers, door prizes, and more! Tickets are $109 and include a Get Home Safe ride back to your home or hotel after the event.
From Cellars to Classics is a new OWFS Signature Event, in partnership with Okanagan Chamberfest, that brings wine and classical music together in one elegant evening. The night begins with a wine and hors d’oeuvres reception and moves into a strings and piano concert featuring seven of Canada’s best classical musicians. Performers include Kelowna’s own Nicholas Denton Protsack (cello, winner of two 2021 SOCAN Foundation Young Composers Awards), Philip Chiu (piano, winner of the Mécénat Musica Prix Goyer), and Keith Hamm (viola, named one of Canada’s “Hot 30 Under 30” Classical Musicians by CBC), among others. Included in the ticket price are wine tastings, tasteful canapes, a full chamber music concert and a complimentary glass of wine during intermission.
Described as flirty and fabulous, Blush & Bubbles is a new event that is sure to be a hit! On the beautiful shores of Lake Okanagan, guests are invited to celebrate the best of the Okanagan Valley’s sparkling and rosé wines. Local premier drag queen Sparkle will be entertaining guests throughout the afternoon. It is the perfect event to bring your best gal pals or to treat your mom to for Mother’s Day! Tickets include a welcome glass of sparkling wine, wine tastings, delicious small-plates, and entertainment.
If you can’t make it to one of these Signature Events, there are many more events taking place at wineries throughout the Okanagan Valley. Be sure to check out the Digital Festival Guidebook at www.thewinefestivals.com to help plan your festival experience.
