Artigiano Announces New Howe & Hastings Location
Vancouver-based, family-owned and -operated café chain continues
ambitious expansion plan in BC.
Award-winning, locally owned and operated café chain Artigiano (formerly Caffe Artigiano) is pleased to announce the opening of its newest location in Vancouver’s Financial District located at Howe & Hastings Streets.
This is the latest in the brand’s enterprising expansion and franchising program of converting former Starbucks locations into Artigiano cafés, all while revitalizing neighbourhoods and supporting local artists. The new Howe & Hastings location is locally owned by community partner, Imee Centeno. An entrepreneur at heart, Ime brings over 30 years of corporate experience to the Artigiano team along with a passion for café culture, good corporate responsibility, and a love of the arts.
The newest addition to the Artigiano café collection, which houses 20 interior seats and 16 patio seats, proudly features Big Money, an interior mural wall created by BC-based illustrator and designer, Nada Hayek.
“When you hear the words ‘stock exchange,’ the first thing that comes to mind is business suits, chaos and of course, cash—maybe a little sleaziness sprinkled in there too, for good measure,” says Nada. “These are the key ideas this piece aims
to embody with a playful and irreverent approach.”
Artigiano’s new downtown location will feature the menu favourites available at most of the B.C. locations including new summer menu items ranging flavoured Lemonades like strawberry, matcha and lavender; Freddo’s flavoured with mocha, and chocolate banana; as well as Artigiano’s new Flatbreads creatively conceived with parmesan, potato and thyme or Two River’s pepperoni drizzled with spicy honey, and a truffle, mushrooms and goat selection.
